Chaos for me is the original state of the world, the state of the unfolding abyss, the state of development and growth, full of unpredictable possibilities. In a way, chaos is a system determined to evolve and expand.
I'm mesmerized by the chaos and density of the plants, the intertwined mass and energy of the struggle. Observation and contemplation are possible forever – suddenly, the focus changes, another sprout or branch becomes the main character, and the thread of the story immediately changes. Nature amazes me with its textural complexity. The irregularity of forms susceptible to deterioration over time is what interests me. Light, glare, reflections, shadows – they all exist for only a fleeting moment.
I'm interested in the gaps. Walking in a dark forest, a glow is visible through the thicket. And there somewhere looms a light – bright but misshapen, framed by dark branches. And there in that light may be an exit into another space where there is only light, a secret door to Narnia.
