This body of work is my study of color relationships. I deliberately removed any figurative references and took the Fibonacci sequence, simple forms and the Greek mathematical theory of the Golden Ratio as the compositional base instead. Having received a formal education as both an artist and designer, raised on classical art, I grew used to searching for simple forms in everything. Any form can be deconstructed and made simple.
I never use colors straight from the tubes. Instead, I look for my own combinations. Oftentimes, the colors will look gray and dull on the pallet. But, when placed next to the right colors, the paint suddenly comes to life. My work is made up of many layers – no less than three to five. Even if the color seems simple and the bottom layer is completely covered, it still influences the upper layers.

Since childhood, when I close my eyes at a concert, I see fountains of colorful spots escaping, exploding, and scattering in all directions. What strikes me is that the same sounds, when blended together in different sequences, create a completely different color combination. It is from coexistence and conflict that harmony arises. Through color, I found my path to understand music and complex composers.
