In this narrow corridor, symbolizing the brevity of human life, two series of works were hung facing each other. On one side, several pieces were created during an art residency in Russia when, as it turned out, I was pregnant with my son Valentin but wasn't certain of it yet. These works are painted with oil on plywood with hand-cut wooden elements. Opposite them is the Grief series, made after my son's death when I was unable to speak and could only draw.

After the funeral, I collected dried flowers from the grave and began to draw them, resulting in the series “Plants and Web”. I searched for the interesting aspects of even the smallest, wilting flower, which holds the potential of the whole world in itself.

The embroidery is part of the project "Stitching `Memories of Those Lost", organized by Stephanie Romano and is based on thoughts from Valentin's diary.
